Why and How to Create a Group in WebJunction Minnesota
Groups are a great way to connect with colleagues and share resources based on a particular topic. Examples of areas where a group could be useful include:
- Interested in a specialty not addressed in a topic area
- In a certain geographical locale
- Working on a project together
- Enrolled in a common course, to share as a learning cohort
- Attending a conference
- Alumni of an LIS institution
Group members can contribute documents and participate in discussions. The group creator can do all that and edit the groups overview page.
IMPORTANT: When creating your WebJunction Minnesota Group, please start the name with Group: MN (such as Group: MN Reader's Advisory).
Use the Group Portal to the left, below the navigation, to find groups and create a new one. And continue to check the list of groups in WebJunction Minnesota, as well as other groups in WebJunction.
