Minnesota School Library Media Programs help prepare students survive in the age of information.The information explosion has changed the knowledge and skills required for productive living in the 21st century. Students must become efficient and effective users of information. Working collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents, school library media specialists teach students the information skills they need to live and work in the next century.

MLA - Minnesota Library Association

"MLA began 1891, but was not officially incorporated until 1967. William W. Folwell, the first President,serviced the association for nine years. One hundred Presidents have followed in his footsteps. MLA is comprised of many kinds of libraries and librarians, including public, academic, school, special, multi-type,institutional, and others."
