Group: MN Promoting Your Media Center to Teachers
RSS
A to Z: an outreach journey. Media centers are at the heart of any good education. The books, databases, homework help, and research assistance made available by Minnesota media specialists and staff provide the backbone to the continued strength of our state’s students. But too often, those library resources are under-used. Teachers don’t know enough about them. Students don’t know enough about them. And with the increased expectations heaped on media specialists, there are fewer and fewer minutes in the day to devote to an outreach program to teachers. This group creates a place where media specialists and library staff can talk about how to get from “point A,” the time-saving and authoritative resources available in Minnesota media centers, to “point Z,” full integration of those resources in the classroom. Check the Documents tab for outreach content you can use, and visit the Discussions tab to join the conversation by sharing your experiences.
